Garden design in Surrey

Considered garden design for established private gardens — from reshaping tired borders to planning an entirely new layout with structures, paths and outdoor living space.

Our approach

Surrey gardens are varied — heavy clay in one village, free draining greensand in the next, mature trees casting shade over half a plot. A good design starts by reading the site rather than imposing a template on it.

We design gardens to be lived in: generous seating areas, planting that carries interest through winter, and structure that holds the garden together when the borders are cut back.

How a design works

  1. Step 1

    Site visit

We walk the garden together, look at aspect, soil and views, and talk through how you want to use the space.

  2. Step 2

    Concept plan

A layout showing structure, levels, planting areas and circulation, with materials proposed for each element.

  3. Step 3

    Planting design

A detailed planting plan layering seasonal interest, texture and colour, chosen for your soil and light.

  4. Step 4

    Build & establish

We construct the garden and stay with it through the first seasons so the planting settles in well.

Common questions

Which areas of Surrey do you cover?
We design and manage gardens across Surrey and the immediate surrounding area, including Guildford, Woking, Farnham, Dorking and the surrounding villages.
How long does a garden design take?
Most designs take three to six weeks from the first visit to a finished plan, depending on the size of the garden and the level of detail required.
Can you build the design as well as draw it?
Yes. We carry out the build ourselves — structures, paths, beds and planting — so the garden is delivered exactly as it was drawn.
Do you look after the garden afterwards?
We offer weekly and fortnightly maintenance so a new garden establishes properly and keeps its shape through the seasons.
